What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications, experience and/or skillsets.
- A qualification in academics and professions from an institution that is recognised.
- Creative Arts Grade 8 and 9 Experience
- Visual Arts Gr. 10 – 12. IEB IEB IEB IEB IEB IEB IEC
- Experience in teaching for at least 5 years (preferable IEB experience).
- Valid SACE membership and certificate.
- Excellent subject knowledge
- Your qualifications in Fine Arts will be a plus.
- Your experience in the art industry (i.e. You are/were an artist.
- Creative, passionate, caring, and ambitious.
- Strong management skills (particularly project management).
- Interpersonal skills are important (especially when working with learners).
- Clear criminal records
The responsibilities are
- Plan, control and record assessments.
- Attend workshops, meetings and forums for your grade/phase.
- Create a learning atmosphere in the classroom.
- You are responsible for all the school supplies and equipment in your class.
- Working closely with teachers to ensure that the grade/phase runs smoothly.
- Plan, manage, promote and assist the teaching and learning in class.
- Plan, manage, promote and assist in the promotion of sports and cultural activities within your school.
- Plan, manage, promote and assist discipline in the grade/phase.
- When needed, assist with sports and administrative duties.
- Commitment to education, and willingness to contribute values and ethos to the school.
