ARC Job Description
- Use a tractor to work with various equipment, such as the bush cutter, slasher and spraying machine
- fertilizer spread, planter etc. at a correct speed;
- Make sure that the proper preparation of soil is completed on time, accurately and professionally;
- Safety-conscious transportation of workers as well as fertilizers, farm produce as well as other equipment for farming
- Pruning, suckering, management of the canopy and harvesting of fruit trees/ vineyards;
- Maintenance on the tractor equipment and irrigation and trellis systems;
- Reporting any symptoms of breakages and defects on the tractor or the implements;
- Time management and the execution of team and individual assignments;
- Record keeping of day-to-day work done, diesel usage, spraying programs.
- Help with all farm chores.
- Be sure to comply with the entire conditions in OHS Act. OHS Act.
Job Requirements
- Grade 10 plus three years of work experience working as an operator of a tractor Earth Heavy Moving Equipment.
- The grade 12 is an additional benefit.
- Tractor as well as Earth Heavy Moving Equipment operator certification will give you an additional benefit.
- Writing and reading skills that are good.
- Valid Driver’s Licence.
- Willing to complete an exam of competency in the course of interview.
