MosselBay Municipality Station Commander Hiring Requirements:-

Relevant tertiary qualification (NQF Level 6), preferably a Diploma in Fire Technology
• Minimum of 7 years’ operational experience of which at least 3 years must be at
supervisory level
• Peace Officer Certificate
• Proof of being a Pump Operator (affidavit)
• Computer literate (MS Office applications)
• Valid Code C1 driver’s license (manual vehicle)
• Proficient in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape
• Physically fit & able-bodied with the ability to lift, move or carry weights of +- 25 to 75 kg
• Must not suffer from fear of heights, confined spaces, water or any other phobia that
could impact on the nature of the inherent functional requirements of the job
• Good sight, hearing & speech ability with no extreme cardiac or respiratory anomalies
