Witzenberg Local Municipality Community Services Director Hiring Requirements:-

•  A minimum of five years’ experience at senior management level; and have proven successful institutional transformation within public or private sector * Comply with all legislative competency requirements. * Good knowledge and understanding of relevant policies and local government legislation * Good knowledge and understanding of institutional governance systems and performance management * Knowledge and understanding of the key responsibility areas of the position. * Knowledge of municipal government and administration, statutory and regulatory environment. * An understanding of the integrated nature of an effective municipal administration. * The ability to engage strategically with Executive Councillors, communities and residents.* An appreciation of the centrality of the IDP for effective service delivery. *A high degree of aptitude to strategic/ operational planning and management, decision­ making, leadership, innovation and motivation.* General management skills, computer skills and valid driver’s license.* Where an applicant does not have the required Minimum Competencies as required by the MFMA, the applicant must obtain the required modules within 18 months of appointment.
