City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality Police Chief Hiring Requirements:-

•  A bachelor’s degree or BTech in Policing or any other study
  field related to the position
  • Registration with a relevant professional body will be an added
  advantage
  • 12 years’ experience in the policing services environment, of
  which at least five years must be at senior management level
  • Basic police training qualification
  • Registration as a Traffic Officer in terms of the National Road
  Act, 1993 (Act 93 of 1996) and appointment as a member of a
  municipal police service in terms of the South African Police
  Service Act (Act 68 of 1995) will be an added advantage
  • Code B driving licence
  • Firearm proficiency
  • Proven experience in successful institutional transformation in
  the public or private sector
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of relevant policy and
  legislation
