Stellenbosch Municipality Roads & Stormwater Manager Hiring Requirements:-

Minimum Requirements: A relevant BEng or BSc (Eng) engineering degree •5-8 years relevant experience, in the planning, design, maintenance and construction of roads and stormwater services of which 3 years’ experience in management • Eligibility for registration as Pr Eng •Code B Driver’s licence

Other requirements: Computer literacy: MS Office •Good communication skills •Proven track record in contract and project management •Management, Financial management, HR management, quality assurance and safety regulations •In-depth knowledge of: Council policies such as – HR, Supply Chain Management, National Government Legislation such as – OHS, NWA NEMA, MFMA, MS, Construction Industry Guidelines e.g., CIDB, SANS •Leadership competencies and Problem solving skills •Tactical and Strategic thinking and adaptability skills •Well-developed interpersonal and effective communication skills• Sufficient seniority and credibility •Ability to work in a team environment and to perform under pressure •Proficiency in at least two of the three Western Cape official languages (English, Afrikaans, Xhosa)
