Data Scientist Description
- Predictive models used to choose the best leads for VAS campaigns should be maintained and tracked.
- Help in the development and implementation of forecasting models by using machine learning and statistical modelling techniques
- Translate business problems into analytical problems to provide analytical support to VAS stakeholders
- Analyse data to gain business insights and present results effectively
- Manage relationships with stakeholders by communicating effectively
- Use appropriate statistical methodologies and data mining/analytical techniques in the modelling process for robust and effective models
- Experience with complex database structures and the ability to code in SAS or SQL is required.
- Documentation standards for strategy and test results
- Engage with stakeholders both internal and external to improve the operational level of the portfolio
- Machine learning research and implementation
For Data Scientist position you should have
- A degree in Mathematics or Statistics
- Experience in an analytical role providing prescriptive and predictive solutions to businesses
- Experience with data analysis software (SQL SAS R Python)
- Experience with machine-learning techniques, such as optimisations, logistic regression, linear regressio, decision trees K-means cluster analysis, etc.
- Strategic and conceptual ability is important
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Experience in forecasting and reporting
- Detail-oriented
- Communication and documentation skills
