MosselBay Municipality Law Enforcement Superintendent Hiring Requirements:-

• Grade 8
  • Required to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces as well as at heights on suspended platforms
  and structures
  • Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned
  overtime
  • Required to be on standby duty
  • Must be physically fit and able bodied
  • 0-1-year relevant experience

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Attend to labouring tasks during electrical installation, maintenance and repair works
  • Slashing and removing plants and weeds to enable access to working areas and to
  prevent fire damage to lines
  • Barricade areas using barricading tape and safety cones
  • Digging holes and trenches using spades, pickaxes and rakes
  • Planting poles, filling holes with ground, and compacting ground using a manual
  compactor
  • Securing ladders against poles by holding it upright / climbing ladders to hand tools to
  other workers
  • Load, unload and carry equipment and material as instructed by supervisor
  • Unrolling and pulling of cable and overhead conductor
  • Clean worksites, store equipment and tools, and load materials prior to departure from
  worksite
  • Report to supervisor on any related work activities
